Talkeetna Air Taxi

Even though there is a whole week until the Autumnal Equinox, fall is in full swing.  It is hard not to take notice everyday when fall seems to last about two weeks around here.  Here are some more fall photos around the office.  Currently we have just over 13 hours of daylight and are losing over 5 minutes of light per day.  It is time to enjoy the fall colors and the cool morning air while we can.

 The tundra colors are amazing right now! It's wonderful to be able to see the dramatic scenery each season has to offer here at the base of the Alaska Range.

Come one, come all! Just come dressed up as a TV character. Think Jersey Shore, Gilligan's Island, Fat Albert, The Office, The Lone Ranger, MASH, Charlies Angels, Fantasy Island, Starsky and Hutch... the list can go on and on.

The plants are enjoying their daylong dose of sunshine! The sun rose at 4:11 a.m. and sets at 23:49 tonight.  Here's a little sample of the veggies and flowers we have growing out on our sundeck!

Consensus is...we are ready for three more weeks of sunshine again, including our wild flower garden where the daisies are taking over!    The wild flower garden is a go, and the last day of intense sunshine they all came to say hello.  Just another Alaskan summer here in Talkeetna!
